  1. Excellent! – it is fascinating to see how the new BP website is all PV panels and wind turbines.

  2. Electric cars, “The use of brakes leads to particles as important as from fuels cars”.
I will challenge this assertion given page 43.
The brake pads of my Full electric Peugeot iOn, after 80 000 km, have not yet been changed.

The forgotten parameter is the regenerative breaking.
In other words, instead to use friction and heat for breaking, it is a pleasure with an EV to use the car inertia to recharge the battery.

About the tires, my iOn was purchased in 2012, front tyres were changed after 34 000 km in 2015. Front and back tyre were changed after 70 000 km in 2020.

Surprisingly the battery ageing is calendar with no benefit of a halved mileage since I am retired.
After 9 years, the loss of battery capacity is around 20 %.

Solar panels, house insulation, may be one of the first oil refiners to go at work with the help of an EV. Why all of this, thanks to the web, I am a strong follower of Jean since the mid-90th…
